How a Cannabis Company is Trying To Brighten Spirits On Blue Monday During Lockdown

January can be a gloomy time of year. With the holidays behind us, many of us may be staring down a pile of bills and struggling with our New Year’s Resolutions. The freezing weather and low levels of sunlight can be tough on anyone’s mental health. To try and brighten up the dog days of January, “Blue Monday” was introduced in 2005 by Chris Arnall. Falling on the third Monday of January each year, Blue Monday is a day for people to do good things for each other and spread little acts of kindness. By showing others kindness in small and unexpected ways, we are able to share joy and happiness, and effectively “beat the blues”!

At Flight Plug, we are ready to do our part this Blue Monday. Today (January 18th) between 10am and 7:30pm, we want to give you a little something on the side when you place a delivery order with us! We’d love to pick you up a FREE medium drink of your choice from select drive-through locations in the KW area. Want a mocha latte? No need to leave home - we got you. Want a warm chai? It’s on us. One of our friendly team members will be more than happy to grab your drink on the way over with your delivery.

For an extra little something, we will also include a free pre-roll or THC Coco’s chocolate chip cookie with your delivery - your choice! Just let us know what you’d like in the comments when placing your order.

We are always available to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to drop us a DM or hit the Chat button on our website!

Mental health is a serious issue, and while we are happy to participate in a day that celebrates kindness, we are in no way promoting the view that cannabis is a “cure” or solution for a bad day or a low mood. We are aware of the prevalence of mental health issues, and understand that the recent lockdowns have added to the toll on individual mental health. We encourage anybody struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or any other issues to speak to a loved one, a physician or seek professional help.
